Shenandoah Celebration A Canon for the Caverns was composed for a special excursion to the Luray Caverns as part of the 57th International Horn Symposium. These caverns near Luray, Virginia and the Shenandoah National Park are among the Natural Wonders of North America. The beautiful rock formations within these caves are marvels of natural artistry developing and evolving in geological time. This composition celebrates both the visual beauty of the Shenandoah Valley and the historical echoes of this notable natural wonder. Congratulations to Professor Ian Zook, Horn Professor at James Madison University and the Host of the 57th International Horn Symposium, for his special celebration of our Musical and Natural Heritage!
